Plug your cam in, turn it on and open up your EOS capture. Click on remote shooting and click away. :)

I'm not 100% sure that's where you find remote capture in your software. So if you run into a road block, look for remote shooting in your cam's manual.

there is an alternative media player, totally free, called vlc media player. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ down load it there. it will play your movies. When you are playing it, you double click the movie to make it go full screen ( meaning your looking at just the movie) To get rid of the letter boxing, right click on the movie, select crop, them 4:3 ratio. this will make the movie fill the screen, but you'll lose some of the stuff going on on the sides. If you buy a dvd in "full screen" your getting the same effect though. To make it go back, right click, crop, default.

VLC blows Windows Media player away, btw. It has ten times as many features.

There is much opportunity for confusion and misunderstanding here, not to mention sharp practice. You already own the copyright in anything that you have created simply through the act of creating it. However, it is wise to create a copy of your creation and post it to yourself (and maybe several other people) in an envelope that will be dated by means of postmark and which you don't open. That is your 'line in the sand.'

You may also need to take advice about whether you or your employer holds the copyright on material you created when in their service. This gets complicated – are you an employee? a contractor? – and may differ between countries and between different firms.

And if you are a contractor/consultant running a private company, there are pluses and minuses associated with whether you hold the copyright personally or your company holds it.

But you also need to consider issues such as patents, trademarks, etc., which are probably more important. The field here is a minefield and you do need professional advice from a patent attorney and/or a trademark attorney. This advice is worth paying for or you could finish up losing the rights to your own work. And you need to shop around for a good one, which means asking your contacts.

And as soon as you have some idea of which way the wind is blowing, get yourself some insurance against having your patents/trademarks/copyrights infringed. I'm afraid that some of the big players in the field think little of lifting someone else's invention and regarding the cost of a patent infringement suit as the price of doing business.

Hope that helps; I've trodden the path already, as you might be able to tell.

    software:
    (1) NeatImage or Noise Ninja for removing noise from the image (also have photoshop plug-ins)
    (2) Corel Draw – I design our company's shirts with this. It comes with a color separation. It separates the yellows from the blue from the red so that it would be easier to cut out the silkscreen patterns for shirt printing.
    (3) Genuine Fractals (also have photoshop plug-ins) – for resizing of image without sacrificing quality

    Hardware:
pen tablet…it's easier and faster to edit graphics using the pen instead of the mouse. It simulates drawing. There is a pen and there is a tablet that serves as the mousepad or paper. Wacom brand is expensive, my friend just bought me a cheaper Genius brand.

It may exceed the computer value – if you buy it seperately…
Obviously a $200 program might be worth $25 in negotiations between a manufacturer and the software company. A lot of companies do this with their software so that you MUST use it and things that are compatable with the program.. It's called market share and they want the most. Why let a competitor be the default operating system on a computer?

Also a lot of these programs that are pre-installed on new computers are only limited trial editions that expire unless you buy them.
